ASEC mission partner Pam Krueger (star and producer of the NetWorth show) began working with us in 2002 through an initial discussion with ASEC Chairman and CEO Dallas Salisbury. By May of 2004 Krueger and Jack Gallagher were ready to meet a June 1, 2004, production deadline to PBS for the first program of MoneyTrack, a proposed 13 segment PBS series intended to educate Americans so they can make wiser, more informed investment decisions, but still lacked full funding. (Krueger had been scheduled to brief partners at the ASEC June meeting. Every episode features thematic stories featuring real people.) Krueger approached ASEC with a request for advice on obtaining funding during the early conception phase, and former ASEC staffer Don Blandin worked with Krueger on funding. The next item finishes a good news story of the value that ASEC linkages can produce to further the ASEC mission of savings and retirement planning education.
